How does Compassionate Inquiry differ from traditional talk therapy?
Traditional therapy aims at managing symptoms or changing thought patterns whilst with Compassionate Inquiry, we explore the why behind the patterns. The emphasis is on mind-body connection, suppressed emotions and body awareness.
Is Compassionate Inquiry trauma-informed therapy?
In compassionate Inquiry trauma is understood by not what happened to you, but what happened inside you as a result.
What role does Mindfulness play in your approach?
At the beginning of each session you will be invited to breathe together mindfully bringing us together in the present moment. Mindfulness body and mind awareness will allow for a deeper enquiry of emotions, bodily sensations and thought patterns during your session.
Do you teach Mindfulness as a separate modality?
Yes, I teach Mindfulness as an eight week programme or as a one off to support the client’s process.
What is Ancient Healing?
This is an ancient practice
of energy work, “laying of hands”, in-person or from a distance . It is not a religion and you do not have to believe anything in particular. Ancient Healing aims at balancing energy, clearing blockages, and supporting emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being.
What will I feel?
You may feel warmth, tingling, coolness, deep relaxation, or even fall asleep. Some see colours, images or experience emotional releases.
Is it safe?
All healing is non-intrusive and conducted with the client fully clothed in a relaxed environment either in the comfort of their home via a distant healing session or in a warm and comfortable therapy room.
What does a typical session look like?
Sessions may be for Compassionate Inquiry , Mindfulness, healing grief support or ancient healing. Each session is tailored to your needs and requirements- you may have a stand alone therapy or a combination of therapies depending on what is most appropriate for you and is discussed at the beginning of the session. Each session will begin with a few minutes mindfully breathing, checking in with yourself and your body.
Where will the sessions take place?
Sessions will be held either on zoom or face to face.
How long are sessions?
Each session is 60 minutes
How many sessions will I need?
It is recommended to have a minimum of 6 sessions over 12 weeks to experience the benefits of your process.
What can your therapies help with?
Trauma, addictions, anxiety, burnout, eating disorders, depression, fatigue, emotional and physical pain,grief, stress, sleep problems, relationship problems, parenting, unwanted patterns and behaviours, limiting self-beliefs.
What are your rates and cancellation policy?
Single sessions - Compassionate Inquiry, Mindfulness and Ancient Healing - £120 (payment is required at time of booking )
Package of 6 sessions - £685
Minimum of 24 hours is needed to cancel or reschedule if not the full fee for that session will be charged
